Park explores their own gender and sexual identity as being in the grey zone of uncertainty as a virgin with a mixture of feminine and masculine traits. Park has always depicted women as the subject and the protagonists within their art, and in recent years they have depicted themselves as a Northeast Asian beauty. Because art is meaningless if it is separate from life, Park carries over this gender fluid fantasy that has evolved within the realm of painting into physical reality. Despite the skepticisms from friends and family, why has Park always been mesmerized and enchanted by the beauty of femininity? What is the ideal self for Park and who is the woman that they want to become in their sincere wish and dream?
